Activities and Schedule

Nov 4th - Friday

Field Trip

The field trip details will be announced soon. But you can count on a day full of exploring the geomorphology of our region in Alabama. Yes, we have mountains, cool geology, and a high density of streams.

Nov 5th - Saturday

Paper Presentations

Saturday will feature a full day of plenary sessions, with a break for lunch. Session topics will be added soon.

Nov 6th - Sunday

Paper Presentations

The symposium will finish up with a morning of paper presentations followed by lunch.

Social Mixer

We will have a happy hour mixer with drinks and snacks. As people arrive to Jacksonville and the field trip returns, the mixer is a good way to catch up with old friends and make new ones.

Nov 5th - Saturday Evening

After the plenary session there will be a poster session and happy hour with beverages and snacks. There will be poster competition. This will be followed by dinner.

Nov 6th - Sunday Lunch

Wrap-up Discussion

The final event will be a discussion about the trends in remote sensing geomorphology, as well as the gaps and needs. This discussion will help put things into context and can be a great jumping off point for future research and collaboration.

Jacksonville is about a 1 hour drive from either Atlanta or Birmingham Airports. Closer to the meeting we will email attendees to facilitate carpooling from the airport.
